So my lcd has gone haywire the last week, its usually used as a backup monitor, but today it just stopped posting video, It will just turn on, White screen, aftwards what looks like a like going down the screen and makes it 1/3 of the way then the screen shuts off. If turned on and off it will not show anything, it will not go to stand by mode and just stays there. I have tried different cables, no cable at all, replugging it, different video card. Nothing works and brings back the same results.

I decided to upload via youtube to show you guys what happends just in case if words is not enough. Clicky, As you can see, the video shows me turning it on, powering it off and on, clicking every button, then replugging the vga video cord.

Anyone else experience this before with their lcd's? Im wondering if its user fixable thing or something else, Warranty is gone, even with westinghouse themselfs. The monitor is a Westy L cm-19v5. I purchased it at a local target, i actually did 2 returns before on the same monitor and this one actually lasted a while.

There is power but is it enough?
The LCD screen isnt dead
The backlight does light but then goes out.

Check the screen with a torch to see if there is anything displayed.
It might be the backlight or inverter that is dead.

Its definitely receiving power, but it may be too low and hence it shuts off.
So possibly a PSU issue but you need to test it to find out.

Its weird, when it does the backlight turn on, i can kinda see what i had running that day, meaning it looks like an xfire chat box and reg xp background.

How much do you think it will cost to fix this if its fixable? Im wondering if its worth it to fix it or just forget about it and just use that towards a new screen.
