I'm wondering why exactly this happens.. Let's see if I can explain it properly.

To my GPU I have four screens hooked up. Two 27"Acer LEDs via DVI. An old 15" LCD via DP. And my Samsung TV through HDMI.

When I restart my computer, the two DVI screens will work, and the HDMI connected screen.. but not the DP connected one. In order to get that one to work, I have to unplug the HDMI and one of the DVI's... then the DP one will turn on. Then I plug back in the others, and boom, everything works. But I have to go through this every single time I restart my computer or turn it on. Any idea why? The LCD has a VGA connector, so I have it connected to a VGA to DP adapter. I was thinking maybe it was an active or passive issue, but I thought it wouldn't work at all if that were the case.. I'm actually not even sure if the adapter I got is an active or passive.

I'm just happy they actually all work together, but it's kind of a pain in the ass to keep disconnected and connecting them all every time.
 
Can you convert the DP to a different output? Not even sure why someone would use 4 monitors, usually even for 3 screen gaming, the optimal set up is 3 monitors of the same size. I would just ditch the old 15", honestly, IMO.

You may want to check with your video card manufacturer, and see if this is a known issue.

I use the small one to leave open parsers and Grooveshark and Skype, then one I leave open Chrome, One is for gaming, and my TV that's connected I use for Netflix when I'm not using it for actual TV. It's just so convenient. Eventually when I can afford it, I'm getting a third 27" to replace the little 15" one.

My GPU only has two DVI, one HDMI and one DP on it.. so I have to use DP on at least one of them. Again, it's not an awful issue, and it's fixable by switching wires around, but I am trying to figure out why it's even doing it.
