Im using the below mentioned PC with my sony 32' KDL32M4000. I have to use an dvi-vga adapter in the PC slot as it only has vga connections. My screen does not fill the viewing area of the tv leaving a good centimeter on the left side. This happens from both ports on the card. Any suggestion on how to fix this? Will a dvi hdmi cable work or a straight dvi-vga cable?? What are my options as Ive already got both HDMI cables filled (bluray/360). Ive had it setup this way for a while. but the ati card I was using before didnt (at least not that I remember) have this problem....

HDMI/DVI ideal. You can resize is by using the nvidia control panel. Right click your desktop and click it. Then go to Adjust Desktop Size and Position.

You could always put a Blueray drive in your PC and do away with the standalone BD player, freeing up an HDMI input on your TV. $$$

True. But Ive already tried using the size and position option. at any other resolution besides 1360x768 when I move the screen towards that blank space on the left the tv treats it as the edge of the screen. I'll have to pick up a HDMIDVI cable I guess and try again.

Yeah, I'd hit up MicroCenter or newegg for a inexpensive cable. Either a HDMI/DVI cable or an HDMI cable + DVI/HDMI adapter.

What should I do for a sound solution? my 8800gts does not deliver sou......

Oh! Do you know if I can plug my 360 and bluray into my pc audio wise(through my soundblaster) and then I can connect it to my reciever? That would solve my audio problem.....

Does the 8800GTS have a SDPIF plug/jumper to run to the mobo? This is what I had to do to get my GTX260 to pipe audio through the DVI (adapted to HDMI) along with video. The GTX460 (and most recent cards) doesn't need that though, it just runs the sound through the HDMI along with the video w/o the jumper.

Are you using the TV speakers?

Yes and no. I have the TV hooked to my regular audio plug and then its also plugged into my reciever with optical outputs on the sound blaster. Ill have to check for that jumper tho. Im not sure myself. Anywhere I can find a manual for this? Ive tried searching to no avail.

Personally, I run all my audio and video to the TV and use it as a switching hub. I don't use the TV speakers, I use the TV's OpticalOUT to my amplified speakers.

And actually my setup is even simpler, because all I have is my PC. Cable, Blueray and PC are all one-in-the-same. So just 1 HDMI cable to the TV. And 1 optical cable to my amplified speakers. I like simple :D

Ill have to check for that jumper tho. Im not sure myself. Anywhere I can find a manual for this? Ive tried searching to no avail.

The SDPIF input on the GTX260 is right next to the PCIE 6-pin power plugs. It just a 2-wire jumper. Looks like a tiny fan connector. But I remember on my old 9800GT XXX it was on the chip-side of the board somewhere. Not all cards have it though.

apparently it may be near the sli connector but Ill have to look. it seems all BFG info is gone off the webs forever.

Damn I was looking at guru 3d's site and they have pics of it but I dont see it unless its inside the shim.

Sad day.

AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGG My card does not have the required pins for DVI-HDMI audio.

Woe is me.
