all the mobos showing in the faq above here are no longer sold by newegg, or at least i cant find them.

The last time i tried to just make an educated guess about which boards to use they ended up on the faq's list of "crap that wont work" so to speak.

so

if i were to go to newegg right now and buy a few boards, which boards would you recommend i buy? or better yet, point me in the right direction so i can setup a diskless group. onboard lan and video i guess, and nothing else?
