Disk showing half size.

I have a WD 60 gig drive and for whatever reason I'm only showing 31.4 gigs in the drive manager. I just have the slave jumper and according to the diagram, I don't have the 32 gig limit enabled.
When I first installed the drive, it showed up as a full 60 gig, however when attempting a quick format, it would get half way and fail. Eventually it just started showing 31.4 gigs.

Even in disk management the drive shows 31.4.

Does it show up as 60GB in another computer, maybe a platter failed and SMART disabled it... although I dont think it can do that

Did you just come out of the pool? Oh wait you said disk.

Try master and see what it says...also might want to use a program like Gparted to format and partition.

Have you run WD Diag Tools? If it fails half way though, any error messages or just quits? Could be that the drive is going bad.
