Disk activity 10 minutes after ejected?

I have two external Sata drives I use for backup.

After doing my back up. I eject both drives before shutting them down. Both eject fine and windows says it is safe to shut them down.

But the odd thing is one of them keeps doing disk access for 10 minutes after it is ejected (I can hear/feel the head seeking). It does this after each backup and it is always the same drive. These are both same drives (WD 2TB Green) , in the same enclosures. Both drives have totally clean SMART data.

Anyone know what the heck is going on?
