Hey all. I need some input as Tyan is being NO help what-so-ever.
I have two servers built, same parts and configs. but they will not power up reliably.
Specs:
Tyan S5393
2 Xeon 5410's
iStarUSA TC-1200PD1 PSU
4 2GB Kingston DDR2 667 FBDIMMS
GT8500 video card
couple of sata hard drives
Generic 3U server case
Problem is when you go to power the machine up, it comes on for a brief second, spins the fans, and stops. Sometimes when you hit the main power switch, it powers up and runs perfectly, until you shut down and it refuses to power back up.
I have checked the install twice and I can find no shorts. The power supply has 2, 8pin 12v rails for the mobo. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
