Disappearing private messages?

I just did a transaction today, and a few hours afterward, all of the messages between the seller and I are gone. Is this supposed to happen?

Edit: Btw, its only those specific messages that are missing.

Edit 2: I tried it on another computer and they all show up now. It must just be browser cache related, sorry for the post.
