future conroe "core microarch" has 3 varients. desktop "conroe" (july), server "woodcrest" (end of june), and mobile "merom" (august)

core duo != "core" (conroe/woodcrest/merom)
right?
 
Just like Pentium, each change to the core will likely carry a similar name until Intel feels that they need a change. Pentium has been arround since Katami, Tuallatin, Willamette, Northwood, Prescott, Pressler, and Smithfield. (I think I got them all. :eek: ) The "Core" shouldn't change much. Just keep your numbers straight. :D
