How can I disable the out of range message that pops up when a Samsung 1080p LCD is overclocked past 77Hz? I understand that this may need firmware hacks.
 
I believe that needs a pixel clock patcher to remove the 165MHz pixel clock limit, but if the monitor can't do more than 77hz it will probably cause frameskipping at refresh rates above

The problem isn't the pixel clock, nor anything PC-side. The problem is the monitor has an artificial cap in the firmware preventing it from properly displaying anything above 77Hz.

It's the monitor I had before upgrading to a CRT. I am trying to overclock it for use as a LAN party and backup monitor.
 
Rabidz7, you are fully aware that there are members over at blurbusters who have done things along the lines of what you are asking.
 
LAN parties are enough serious business to buy something like BenQ XL2411Z or any other 120Hz + strobing monitor.

Motion clarity wise it looks exactly like CRT. Picture quality generally is much worse but at least motion clarity is the same. I am dead serious, and because I use CRT you know you can trust me :)
