Disable "Desktop.ini" Files?

I rip all my audio cd's via WMP and then move them to a portable USB drive & MP3 player (Creative Zen) and it always cries about the desktop.ini files in ever music folder I have. I remember reading somewhere that there is a way we can disable this so there are no desktop.ini files generated. I know that I can hide them but the fact is that they are still there...

Can someone please help me and show me how I can disable this from XP.

Thanks!

It sounds like you have 'Hide Protected Operating System Files' unchecked in folder options. Change that back top default and you won't see or copy desktop.ini
