I have 4 9800gtx+'s and whenever run throws out an EUE and tries to resume it can't because the card is stock in 2D mode. I have the latest WHQL drivers and I'm forcing performance mode with rivatuner to no avail. Any suggestions? Any way I can force it not to downclock? Different drivers needed?

MSI K9A2 Platinum

Running it on windows 2k3 Server 64bit.

Well it isn't the NV chipset issue.

I want to say it is the OS, but that is little more than a guess.

Anyone else with exp with that OS and folding?

if you can, can you drop a old HDD and do a install of xp and see if that works?

Hm I'll drop in an installation of XP 64bit right now and see what happens. I used server because I had it laying around but I was planning on remoting into it by VNC anyways.

can use vnc with xp or use the remote desktop... ive used vnc for years but find remote desktop to be better at some things.. especially if your just jumping on to check stuff..

You can use remote desktop now? I thought if you logged onto remote desktop it killed the video card folding because it loads a new remote connection video driver??

This is still the case to my understanding.

Hmm rivatuner isn't forcing the cards to a higher clock in XP 64bit either. I'm waiting for one of the WU's to EUE out I'll let you guys know what happens.

hmm never new that.. never did that with mine folding on my 8800GT and using remote desktop.. or i just never bothered to pay attention to the gpu client..

Did you have it installed as a service? Then your fine.

If it is a client in the tool bar... remote will mess it up.

(I've never done any of this, I use Tight VNC, have been for about 10 years.)

I generally set the card that is acting up liek that to have the same clocks 2d/3d/3d performance to be the same. I'm tired of my computers thinking they are smarter than I am!

rivatuner limits what frequency i can set in 2d mode. Is there anyway I change it so I can set the frequency with rivatuner or some other program?
