They'd have to, for all those Win2k users. However, MS is throwing every developer they've got at SP2 right now, so don't expect them to release it alone before it comes out as part of SP2.
 
Is this DX going to offer any real advantages? It seems that DX has a chronic habit of being far inferior to OpenGL in all fields but ease of programing.
 
It's available right now with SP2 RC2 (I've been using RC2 nearly month with no problems) and if you look at the individual files all but one are marked "final retail" except for directx.cpl which is "final debug". You can also get it stand alone like mentioned above but I don't know where..
 
I finally found it at windows website. I also installed the FarCry 1.2 patch. PS3.0 Rokz!!!!
