Anyone think Intel will launch Directx 11 integrate graphics in its next generation of "Centrino 3" mobile platforms? I know Capella is suppose to have graphics cores built into the cpu or something like that.

P.S., i know nothing will be playable but that hasn't stopped them from making dx10 integrated stuff.

Well, there's Arrandale, but I don't imagine we'll see that until next year. Nobody is quite sure what the makeup will be, except that it will be faster than the X4500 (G45 IGP).

My money is on DX10. Intel tends to lag the big boys in tech level, mostly because their driver quality is usually a full year behind everyone else (example: with X3000 Intel promised DX10 capability, but this is disabled in the final silicon. Eighteen months later, the same chipset is re-badged as X3500 and DX10 support is magically enabled). Hell, even the X4500 (Intel's "second-generation" DX10 chipset) didn't support all the DX10 rendering modes on-release.

Why enable features when you can't hope to support them in software? I think if we give Intel a couple more revs at this DX10 stuff, they might make a chipset worth buying...and maybe THEN they can move on to this fancy DX11 stuff :)

I think AMD will be the first to market with a DX11 IGP, and that'll probably be the middle of next year. I have no idea when Nvidia will release another IGP, now that Intel will start including them on the Core i3 package,
