After weeks of listening to Julian Assange cry about "The Fifth Estate," the director of the movie has a few things to say about the whole situation.

Absolutely. It already had happened because of the source material, which he takes exception to. But he takes exception to anything, honestly, written about him that isn’t completely laudatory. He’s very thin-skinned and he very much — in a naive way — tries to control what people say about him. There’s something strange and adolescent about it, you know? He’s like the teenager who has to prove he was right about everything.

I may like the basic concept behind sites like Wikileaks but Assange is a little off, no two ways about it.

So basically he's like any other 13yr old n00b in their parent's basement in front of a computer...

I said before he even got the US Military data, he is just a sociopath having a passionate love affair with himself. He didn't get better with age ...

What is truly stunning, is that an educated adult like Assange hasn't learned that documentaries, especially docudramas, aren't 100% true. Many are less than 50%.

the director is being a prick

he's citing arguments about Assange telling him to leave out of the story things like he dyes his hair because it detracts from the story when in fact the movie takes the claim that Assange's mother fled from an abusive boyfriend who was in a cult and transforms it into Assange dyes his hair like the followers of the cult...I don't think anyone would be happy with that "little" twist

I'm not an assange fan, but yea I'm sure the director is a prick... why else would you even make a fuss over it? just focus on the actual story, not the messenger

Hmm. The guy who publishes information with no consideration of the consequences is a narcissist? Stunning.

Let's put this in perspective...

Your goal in life is to stir up shiit, and be a renegade.

They make a make feature length film about your exploits.

You get pissed about it. Really?

Most renegades would get a kick out of them making a movie about it. Be it negative or positive.

He may be an attention whore and all, that doesn't make him any worse. Focusing on bullshit like this is dumb. Popular media does that a lot - they focus on the messengers, on the individuals. Why no focus on their doings instead? Not good for brainwashing you say? Oh, I am sorry. Continue!

If there is anyone you should listen to though, it certainly isn't the guy who deleted everything Wikileaks had and took his bat and ball to go launch a more 'moral' project that since then has done nothing.
