Hi,

Theoretically, if you have the opportunity to talk with ASUS (manufacturer) and NVIDIA about DirectCU Mini for GTX 780 and Titan, what would you say to engineering and sales?

Driver for change - new Mac Pro is really small, higher-up suspect the market will shift and less risky to propose b/c "Apple is going small".

Key challenge - sales in for DirectCU Mini sucked compare to regular versions.

The TDP of the 780 is far too high to be considered for such a design. It works fine with a 760 since it is a low end card with a lower TDP.

Apple going small means nothing. The primary audience of the Mac Pro isn't gamers.

You know who buys small form factor cards? People that do small form factor builds. The problem is, there isn't many well done cases that need a DirectCU Mini card. Most ITX cases are designed to support a full length graphics card, or they don't. The cases that don't normally lack cooling options to make the mini card practical for a gaming build with a graphics card.
