hey guys, had a general question. If your card is directX9.0....is there any upgrade you can do to have it be directX10.0 or am i failing to understand something vital? Thanks!

Not with how current video cards are built. It's hot like upgrading the CPU in a conventional PC. Video cards of today have a very coupled design, no easy way to swap the GPU or memory.

You will not be able to run DX10 games on DX9 hardware, however, you will be able to use Vista fine with DX9 and DX8 hardware.

So to have DX10, you need a DX10 video card and to run DX10 games, you need Vista.
