Direct X 10. When?

Anyone know what the timeline is for the release of DX10 and the DX10 compliant cards?
I'm considering a Uli board with agp/pci-e so I can keep my current 9800 pro and wait for the DX10 compliant cards to surface.

Next DirectX is for Windows Vista(It will probably be released for XP/2k)

And isnt it called WGF 1.0 Or something.(Windows Graphics Foundation)

Seems MS decided to drop the WGF Name. itll be DX10

It's going to support Shader model 4.0 and above. so expect at least a year. IE Vista
 
7800GTX and supposedly R520 will be fully Direct X 10 compliant. We'll see though. It wouldn't surprise me if they weren't. (Microsoft loves to change things.)

WRONG. Those two cards are WGF 1.0 compliant, aka DX9 on Vista. Well, those two cards and all the ones that ATi and Nvidia announced that are also compliant to WGF 1.0.
