Dimensions of keyboards ,,

I'm planning on replacing the Asus mechanical keyboard that was included with our new computer. Size, namely the length is the issue, the slide out shelf in my computer desk is 24 " in length and the keyboard is 18 " ,,, leaving only a six inch space for my mousepad and mouse.

I've been doing quite a bit of browsing but there is quite a number of gaming keyboards offered for sale that do not indicate the dimensions. It would be nice to find a keyboard in the 12 - 14 inch length, any suggestions ?

You are probably going to need to look into TKL (ten keyless) keyboards if space is a premium. I think most normal TKL keyboards will be right around 14" in length.

There are compact ones that will shave another 2" off the length, like this:

TKL's are the way to go for you. I recommend the Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S. Or if you even want to go smaller, check this one out: https://www.amazon.com/keyboard-One-Handed-Mechanical-Keyboard-SADES/dp/B07D6NTPWH That would be even smaller than the TKL keyboards. But you will miss some features.

I have limited space on my desk slide-out also so went with a Blackbird TKL a few years ago. Still works well, so no hurry to upgrade atm. Don't really miss the Numpad on the right though as you get used to not having it after awhile. lol
