Older Dell 8200 will not power on. When plugged in the power light blinks amber, and it will not respond to the power switch. If I swap out the cpu for an extra celeron I have lying around the fans power up however nothing displays on the screen. I can't tell if the CPU's are the problem (bad original and the wrong replacement) or if the power supply has bit the dust since it does run when I do my experiment. Any ideas? P.S: I've removed the hard drives,RAM, and the CPU altogether - Same issue (blinking light, no fans, no response.) Thanks!!!!

Sounds more like the motherboard having trouble. If you can find another system that you know works and swap the PSU with it that would help eliminate it from your troubleshooting.
