My buddy (over in germany) has the dimension 5100 with the 305w PSU. His 6800 video card is going out and he's looking at replacing that but to do so he's basically gotta upgrade his PSU also.

I found him this. http://www.amazon.de/OCZ-StealthXSt...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=ce-de&qid=1204567522&sr=1-1

Also looking at the dell forums other's have posted that you can fit most standard PSU's in the case.

Just wondering if anyone has replaced there PSU in a Dimensions 5100 or know if this PSU can fit in the case.

I had him go ahead and order it cause he can always return it. I also recommended he get the 8600GT 512mb DDR3 nvidia card to replace his current one. (He's on a 175 euro budget so couldn't really do an 8800.)

I am just curious, I have a buddy who is in the same boat and looking to upgrade his video card, did you ever get this project completed? Thanks.

I had him order the above PSU. It arrived yesterday. He's gonna put it in this morning. Kinda sucks we are in 2 different countries or I'd be able to help him more.

I gave him as much advise as i could. (take your time remeber what you unplug and make sure you plug it back in.) He's kinda nervous since he doesn't do that kinda stuff often.

I'll let you know once I hear back from him today how it went. From what he was saying the holes seems to match up to the one already in the case just by holding it up to it so...

the new PSU fit perfect. Was easy install he said. Video card should be at his place later today to install.
