Ok...

I want to buy a digicam to have souvenirs and stuff.

But, for 600$CAN, I could get a radeon 9800, XP 2500+, and 512 DDR, which would be a kickass upgrade on my comp.

So um, I'm really wondering... I don't play much anymore, but HL2 is coming out, and bla bla bla...

so souvenirs, or powerful PC :| Duh.
 
We're not really going to be able to help here. You need to decide which is more important to you, and then make then decision.

I would wait until a demo was out for Doom3 or HL2 and download it...see if you like the gameplay. If you feel you'll want to play the games, go with the upgrades.
 
Go with the upgrade.

you can always get a disposable camera and then when its developed get it on a cd.
