Dilemma

Tomorrow I will be buying a 9800 pro finally, and along with that I will be getting either a new hard drive or power supply.

Right now I have just one Maxtor 40gb 5400rpm drive, and a generic L&C 350watt power supply. Would my generic power supply be enough for the new hard drive and 9800pro? Or should I just get on the safe side and get a high quality psu and get the hdd later?

Quite a dilemma if you ask me.. considering I only have 1.25gb left on my hdd with no more cd-r's

Thank you in advance :)

Why not ditch the small slow HDD in favor of a WD SE 120 GB or so?

Yes that is what I was going to do, although a seagate :p

But I cant get a new video card, psu, and hdd at once. It has to be between either a new hdd and psu. And I am not so certain that my psu could handle everything.

I'd go with the WD. It's faster, more reliable, and has a better warranty.

Yeah, Im still deciding between the brands.. but do you think my psu would be able to handle all of this?

The rails on my psu are:
+3.3V 28A
+5V 30A
+12V 15A

It should handle it just fine. Eventually I'd get a better one...but it would be fine for now.
