Dilemma: Accidental Delete

Scenario: 3 computers on a network, 2 My Document folders are mapped from one computer ("server").

Issue: My dad deleted one of his Excel documents on accident on one of the network computers, now the document was deleted from the main computer. Now he looked in Recycling bin in both comps, he doesn't see the file. Where did it go? How to restore this file? Usually on a single comp, you could just go to the recycling bin and restore the document.

Thanks in advance.

Items deleted on a network volume are automatically deleted on the fly- you could recover with a trash recovery utility though.

Are the trash recovery utility free? Where do I get it?

When I install and try to restore the file, which comp do I go on? The server or the comp that I deleted it from.

Well I just tried it on my home network. I tried to reinact the whole situation. I used the program, and it couldn't find the document I deleted. And even if it did, the program was very sort of confusing.

You would run that software on the 'server', on the drive that held his documents.
