Dilema involving logitech kb and mozilla

Is there a way I can get my logitech keyboard (standard cordless freedom from a while back) to interface with mozilla firebird? Right now, if I map a webpage to a shortcut key, nothing happens, i'm thinking since mozilla is set as the default browser. Has anyone else encountered this problem or figured out how to overcome it? Thanks
