I have the Titanium HD card. I'm getting the Edifier S530D which has digital inputs as well as analog.

If I connect them with digital, will it just bypass my soundcards DAC and use the possibly inferior DAC of the speakers, leading to a worse audio quality? Or will the digital inputs only give better audio quality if there's any difference?

Yes, using digital connectivity from your card to the built in receiver in the Edifier's will effectively bypass your card's DAC.

Best think you can do is just try both scenarios and decide which one sounds best. Chances are the differences are minimal.
