digital camera noob needs assistance

[MuscleBoy]

i'm going on a trip to colorado and utah here in about a week, and i want to buy myself a digicam before i head out there. my budget is minimal. i really dont wanna spend more than 150 since i know i'm gonna want a second SD card and a bunch of batteries. i saw this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16830120154 at newegg and thought it looked good. but i'm no expert.

can you make any reccomendations for/against/instead of this camera? thanks.

i haven't heard the best things about canon's lower lines of digital cameras. i have had hp's and sony's and loved the sony's.

yeah, but i havent seen anything in my price range from those manufacturers...

neweggs feedback seems to be pretty good. i mean, i'm not a pro by any means. i'm just sick of paying for disposables.
