What would you guys recommend for up to $400?

Are most digital video cameras firewire still?
 
or at least what to look for?

I noticed most digital camcorders in this range come with a 10x optical zoom, yet they are cheaper than the still digitals :confused:

What about any good/trusted review sites?

And by digital, I mean Digital8 (tape) camcorder that has a firewire connection.
