Different speed HD on the same IDE cable

I have a 40 gig, 7200rpm, UDMA133 HD and a 10 gig, 7200rpm, UDMA100 on the same IDE cable will they both run at there fastest speeds even though they are on the same cable or will the faster one default down to the slower one's speed. Its a stupid question but I was just wondering.
 
There's no practical difference between ata100 and ata133. This could cause a slowdown if it were, say, a cdrom and a hard drive - the cdrom is likely only ata33 - but with 2 hard drives it's not likely a problem.

 
Burst speeds would be limited to ata 100 speeds but...Unhappy_mage said, You won't notice.
