Different Core Temps

So I'm monitoring my CPU core temps through Speedfan and my Core 0 and Core 1 are consistantly reading about 10 degrees cooler than my Core 2 and Core 3? I am using a Thermaltake Typhoon VX.

Is this normal - should I reseat the heatsink? Get a different heatsink?

I first tried a IFX-14, but it doesn't work with my 790i board. Heard the 120 Ultra Extreme won't fit in my case (Cosmos S).
 
10*C, I'd think about reseating. My highest vs. lowest run around 5-7*C off at any given time.
 
It almost sounds like you didn't place the thermal compound on the right way (horizontally across, small line, no spread). Maybe you lined it up wrong?
 
I followed the directions from the Artic Silver website - same characterisitics you mentioned.
 
Yeah mine average 5C difference as well.
Check your heatspreader (On the CPU) and make sure it's flat. Could also be your heatsink base.

Since 2 of your cores are hotter than the others, your heatspreader/base is likely convex or concave (depending which 2 cores it is).
