Differences between Maximus Formula / P5E / P5E WS Professional?

Which one would you guys get? I know the Maximus is the most talked about board on this forum here, but would any of you guys get the other 2 price aside?
 
I'd get the P5E WE Professional cuz of eSATA...


...but then maybe not since ASUS' JMicron eSATA controllers dont work with Seagate FreeAgent Pros.

I am struggling with this same question -- in addition to the P5E WS Pro having eSATA, the specs show that it runs a lot cooler and I have read stories where the Northbridge runs very hot on the Maximus.

Since I am not much of an OC'er (just tinker with it when time permits), I am also wondering if the many BIOS choices of the Maximus (which provides lots of potential for us tinkerers to screw the pooch) are more limited on the P5E WS Pro?

I have been looking at both the p5e and the max formula. I've only seen some subtle differences, such as dual nics and what not.
 
I was in the same place about 6-8 weeks ago. I went with the ws pro and I couldn't be happier. I wanted to stick with DDR2 since I have a bunch and I don't think DDR3 is a mature enough technology. This board is extremely fast and runs extremely cool. My previous board was a evga 680i and the ws pro can hold an OC at a much lower temp. I've got my e6420 at a little over 3ghz to sync up with my 1150mhz ocz and at idle it's like 25 degrees... good shit.

That is good gnus for me -- I have been interested in the WS Pro, but have not seen much info from users -- it does not seem to be very popular but postings like yours keeps my interest up in that board as I plan the next build.
