Difference in the same TFT panels?

Hi,

I was wondering if there is any chance that there is such a big difference in LCD panels with same brand/type nr... Like when a reviewer is very satisfied with one for instance Sony p243b screen, is there a possibility that when they review is again with another serial number, it will get better or worse results?

I mean, why are there such big difference in (for instance) the Sony p243b and the ViewSonic vp231wb, while they use the same LG Philips S-IPS panel?

Should it be possible that when they review these again with another serial number, the results will be reversed/exchanged (can't seem to find the right word)?

The electronics behind the panel have as much to do with performance as the panel. So that is why there would be this variation. At the same time there are consistence diffenerences in the types of panels, i.e. TN vs IPS, but when comparing two of the same panels it would come down to the electronics running it.
