Difference in the EVGA Supernova 1500's..help

Ok, so I went to EVGA's website and tried to find out the difference in the 2 EVGA Supernova 1500's made with no luck. Anybody now why 1 XR model cost $100 more than the VR model?

Thanks, I appreciate any help, I want to make sure I have enough power for 26 120mm fans,2 D5's, and 4 7970's.

the 1500-XR have 10years warranty and special customer support. The 1500-VR have 5Years warranty and standard EVGA customer Support (wich its already good..)

both PSU are the same in therms of quality and performance..

So they're both mediocre and overpriced.

WOW..Thanks for the link man. Guess I wont be buying the Supernova after all! What a POS PSU..I like the braided cables and color scheme..but for the build quality and super LOUD fan I guess I will be going a different route.

people really like the big Antec, Seasonic and Corsair are well regarded as well

If Corsair is on your list and you want something that is quiet at idle, avoid the AX1200. Quite a few people have problems with the fan. I didn't mind voiding my warranty for some silence.

Looking at your parts, that D5 is a pump for watercooling, right? Anyway, if quiet is important, the 1200 might not be a good fit, lol. Google around a bit -- there are even videos on the noise like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA0F2t4VKEw

had not heard that, I run the original AX1200 and couldn't be happier
