I am about to purchase another eVGA 7900GT KO to go into my SFF SLi case... Yet the company I originally ordered my first from is out of stock of the exact same one I purchased about 2 weeks ago... But they do have another eVGA 7900GT KO in stock, same clock speeds, same everything except model number...

My Model: 256-P2-N584-AR
One in stock: 256-P2-N583-AR

I am just asking to see if these are still compatible in SLi despite a difference in Model number.
 
Cooler is better on the higher model. They should be the same price or close to it, I'd go for the 584 one.
 
One in stock is not a KO.

It's a normal CO.

There are several rev's of the EVGA 7900GT's.
Get any that are the new AR series as they have the newer better memory.
KO's come in 2 flavor's. OC and non OC.

Difference between KO and normal version is the cooler.

All 7900GT's should be able to put together in SLI. Even the odd clocks and odd memory configuration. It will just use the lesser clock and memory.
 
I just checked newegg. zzf, and allstarshop, and only allstarshop had the evga 7900GT.

Everybody has the 7900GS though. Is nVidia having problems producing the 7900GT cores?

or is it because evga doesn't want to risk overclocking their cards as much as they did originally, and hence is only manufacturing 7900GS cards?

and what's up with the prices?! shouldn't the prices be falling and the cards becoming more widely available?
