difference between these two rad?

Trick question?

EDIT: Other than them being different, I reckon the Black Ice Xtreme is better, a friend has it on his WC'd rig, and while his rig dont produce much heat, the black ice copes well.

yah, i want to get two seperate black ice, but i don't think i've got the budget so i was wondering maybe if i could have 1 black ice and that cheaper one ( iam trying to cool both cpu and gpu, so i don't think 1 black ice is enough, and i can't get 1 single radiator with 2 120mm fans because there is no room)

Fit and Finish, mostly
I reckon the black ice probably has a slightly better 2-pass design, but really I doubt you'll be able to tell much of a difference.

alright cool, sounds good.
the second one i'll be mounting inside the top of the case, so it won't be seen anyways. another question, how would i mount the second one on a 120mm blow hole? it doesn't seem to have any holes for putting screws into

Well, one is a finished/painted radiator and the other is simply a 2-pass unpainted heater core. Personally, I would purchase the heatercore over the BIX because it has greater internal surface area and is less restrictive. Just add a little paint and construct your own shroud and you'd be set with the heater core. This is the same reason why I went with the dual-120 heatercore from DangerDen than the dual-120 BIX.

As for mounting the heatercore, goto home depot and get the smallest threaded rod they have and some complementing nuts and washers. Or, do as I did and create your own mounting bracketry out of angled aluminum and JBWeld. ;)

is this "shroud" thing what allows u to attach the rad to the case?

Bolts go really nice through the radiator fins. Use a small fender washer and a piece of rubber/plastic to go under the bolt head. Utilize round tube as spacers. Drill and tap case and voila!

Other alternative is to drill appropriate holes and use plastic rivets, though you might have to do some light machining or bending to get a bracket right.

obviously the heatercore is much bigger than the BIE. If I was to watercool, I'd get the black ice because it would actually fit into my case, unlike that huge sucker. I do think that heater core is a much better value, but you can't beat the size/performance of the black ice extreme

heh you should learn what you are talking about before you open your mouth. That linked heatercore and the BIX are both virtually exactly the same size, and you will also usually see better temperatures with the heatercore than the BIX. The main difference is as was stated earlier, fit and finish.

look at the sizes! the heatercore is tad bigger, which makes it too large for my case. (where I want it anyways). I'd gladly save a few bucks, but it won't fit

I just glanced at the links anyways, from what I remembered the heatercore used to be larger than it is, maybe I'm mistaken

for the heatcore thing, when buying, i have an option of adding this "shroud"
is this neccessary? (costs money)

would i just be able to use screws to screw right through the heatcore and mount the fan and mount the heatcore to the case?
