Difference between Sata and Sata 300 cable's.

I im going to buy 2x Maxtor DiamondMax10 300 Sata 300 drives for my gaming/internet pc and I was woundering if there is any difference between a sata and a sata 300 (300=Sata 2 I think).I dont think the Sata 300 cable's exsist but yeah I will find out.
 
Real world performance? No difference. You will see a difference in benchies though.

The cables? Eh, any SATA cable will work at 3gbps. I have never seen anything that says otherwise.
 
Oh ok kewl another thing Maxtor have released the DiamondMax 11 500GB SataII Drives would it be better to get 2 of them instead.
