Difference Between M2J79A8#ABA & M2J79A4#ABA

Does any one know the difference between a HP Z23N monitor with a part number of M2J79A8#ABA and one with a part number of M2J79A4#ABA. The response from HP chat is that the “M2J79A8#ABA is the one our website”. I could get nothing further from them even when I said that was not very helpful.

Unfortunately both are available on vendor websites and I suspect there is a difference between revisions of the same model if some of the reviews of Dell’s “U” monitors are to be believed - and newer does necessarily mean better.

The different character could simply indicate the region where it's sold or the type of power cable that's included. There's actually another model number, M2J79AA.

If I had to guess I would say 4 = North America, 8 = Europe, A = Asia/Middle East.

Interesting thought and probably the correct one . I had not considered that possibility. I will see if there is an correlation between where the vendors are located and the model numbers offered, Of course there are always gray market offerings to muddle the playing field.
