difference between ddr3 and gddr3??

is there a big difference in quality? b/c my friend said to go with the asus chipset b/c it uses ddr3 instead of the gddr3.
 
your friend is a tard, heh. DDR3 and GDDR3 are the same thing, on graphics cards. One means "Dual Data Rate/Ram 3" and the other is 'Graphics Dual Data Rate/Ram 3" ... Its the exact same thing, just said differently.
 
ok thanks, i didn't know and wanted to ask, so what makes the big difference between asus and saphire in price, is it just the different chip sets?
 
Brand name. BMW and Toyota. Levis and Express jeans. Mitsubishi and Panasonic....etc. ASUS tends to have 'OC friendly' hardware, aside from their good warranty and stuff.
