Did we miss this about SLI mode?

probably an engineering sample because on the nvidia website they had the same thing.

according to the info i saw on sli, the plain 6800 will not be usable in sli
the pci-e versions of the 6800 GT and Ultra and the Quatro FX 3400 are the only currently planned cards to have it

from thier SLI FAQ:

"Will SLI be a standard feature from NVIDIA from now on?
SLI will be offered on certain high-end PCI Express product offerings from NVIDIA going forward. The current products that support this are the PCI Express versions of the GeForce 6800 Ultra, GeForce 6800 GT, and Quadro FX 3400."

EDIT: also saw this further down:
"Every high-end PCI Express reference board from NVIDIA will support SLI. It will be up to the add-in-card partner to determine if they follow NVIDIA’s reference design."

heh so it wont even be a standard thing for these cards... if your looking to impliment this i wouldnt rely on any pics on websites
