Yes, on the P-D and FX-60, run the SMP clients and you will get a easy 1000-1500 ppd boost.

Crush the mushroom and ram out Poca :p

 
i'll give the smp client another go on my main rig. the Pentium D is my work pc and even though i do have permission to run F@H i don't know if they will install .net 2.0 on it just for the smp client. it can't hurt to ask :D

btw, i run windows on both DC systems.

I mean all your systems, what os, windows? What was your PPD when it was working top notch?
 
share the folders and use F@H SPY if you are not using it so far. atleast that way at any given time you can see if you have a problem on a machine. I went through a few weeks like this where I thought something was soo wrong! It was when I was racing Poca.
 
d/l'ed fahspy and everything is OK. i se a lot of 206 pointers, one 755, two 388's.

what does it mean if the WU name is red?
 
it might say ready to send. You can check the queue and see if there is anything to send. Do you know how to check the queue God? I have what X told me in my PM box
Sure, it's "fah -send all" and it will try to send all completed WU.

navigate to the path of where FAH is installed exp.

start > run > cmd C:\foldingathome1\

you can also do the the -queueinfo to see if anything is there. If your working on an active WU, you will fill up one slot.
 
I think i have figured out what happened. i used to get a lot of the 500 pointers and all of the wu's were turned in that same day they were issued. now i don't get any wu's worth more than 206 points and they take a full day to finish. right now i have my main rig finishing it's first smp wu but getting the SMP client to wokr on my work pc is a no go due to certian security settings they have in place and they can't turn them off. i am stuck using two normal clients but at least it's folding

It sucks to not be able to remove those security settings.

Myself, i'm a Senior IT Technician so I can edit them FTW :D

Seriously, your logic make sense. I remember seeing a surge of 500 pointers 1-2 months ago and I guess they are now depleted and being replaced by crappy ones :(

 
The single core wu all seem to be about 200 points now.
The money is in SMP, I guess.
I cant wait to try a QUAD core!:D

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if it will be worth it to upgrade my wife's Venice 3200+ classroom computer (8 - 9 hours per day, 5 days per week) to a spare E6600 for such pitiful single-core work units. Hopefully they come out with a version of SMP with looser deadlines (so I can focus both cores on a single work unit) but higher points than that crap.

It's been my experience that the points from any uploaded results can take a substantial time to update in the statistics. It's not always slow, but sometimes it can take many hours..

never see that.....unles the servers are acting funny but then everyone is affected. i am worried that the error i got might have done something to the wu.

Anything is possible, but my SMP WU results today didn't update until at least 6 hours later. Like you, I thought that I had uploaded a bad WU, but I finally saw the points. If by tomorrow, you still don't see the points you should have received, then it would be fair to assume the WU uploaded was corrupt.

Keep in mind the client is still beta. These may or may not be valid errors. Besides the above, I always get a message that the client was improperly shut down, even when it wasn't. So, it would appear that unless you're getting WUs that don't actually complete, ie., terminate before 100% completion, then I wouldn't worry so long as you meet the deadline. :)

2610 gives me the most trouble with lost points. I turned in three 2610s yesterday and have only gotten credit for two so far. Seems to happen once per week.

I'm having a slow week. I lost one computer to a hard drive failure.
