I recently purchased a Verizon S3 on Swappa and when activating the device I saw that the water sensors had red x's on them. This device also came with an extra battery. Well what do ya know the seller put the battery with red x's in the dock and a fresh battery in the device so it would be more difficult to know. I've raised a case with Swappa and requested a refund back from Paypal but I took some pics that I provided Swappa with. Did I purchase a water damaged device? Little bit of info, you cannot sell water damaged devices on Swappa so this is totally against terms of sale. The Swappa associate linked Tmobile documentation stating that the water sensors turn completely pink or red. I dont know why I would have one battery thats a clear label and another with pink/red x's on them. Either way I've never seen a water sensor have red x's when it was not water damaged. Links below:

Nope, my nexus has the same stickers with purple x's on them. Both on the battery and the phone itself, when the indicators turn solid purple you know it has been water damaged.

Yeah, those aren't liquid damaged at all. They turn a bright, solid red when moisture touches them. Heck, try it yourself on one of the batteries by putting a drop of water on the sticker.
