Did I "Burn" my Hdd?

I think I did :(

What happened is, I have 3 Hdds (Maxtor, (2X)120GB and one 200GB) in my metal ANTEC case. They are housed in a metal "cage" thingy that plugs right into the case (you know what kind I am talking about), but they fit VERY close together. For this reason, I have a fan mounted on the front of that "cage" that directly blows on them.

Now, I for some reason I noticed that the fan is not blowing anymore (was disconnected) and the Hdds are EXREMELY hot. I reconnected the fan and they cooled down (although WinXP froze) and I turned the system OFF.

Long story short, this morning, even though the system boots, it freezes here and there and overall I have a feeling that they are somehow damage.

Now, they didn't damage my MoBo or my RADEON 9800XT, or my sound card, did they?

Thanks, I knew this would happen to (or why ALL my Maxtor drives dies on me over the years, of course I didn't have this exact case model, but I know now that it is becuase of over-heating)

Plugging in a fan and having the machine lock up smacks of a power issue. You might want to unplug the non-OS drives and see if the machine is still stable.
