Does anybody have one of these Diamond MM HD2600Pro512A (AGP) and if so.... What drivers are you using? A friend of mine purchased one when they were first released and it never came with a working driver on the cd. To add insult to injury, Diamond does not appear to even offer a driver on their website for this specific card. They are other HD2600 and XT2600 drivers there..but not this one. He would dearly love to get some use out of the card, as he'd sent in the small rebate prior to finding out it did not have a working driver in the box...and therefore could not return it due to a missing barcode. This is why I stopped buying Diamond's products years ago. I wish he had consulted me prior to buying the card.
 
diamond doesnt offer crap for their cards and have never offered anything that actually worked on the install cd's.. i have the same diamond card your talking about.. threw it in my closet 2 years ago and havent touched it since..

the HD2600 and HD2600pro are the same card basicly just different clock speeds..
 
How they got away with this without a class action lawsuit is still mind boggling to me. How could they sell a product that did not offer install support from the time it was released, without a lot of questions being asked? I personally have not purchased any Diamond products since the fiasco surrounding my MX400 sound card. It cost a lot (relative to the time of purchase) and was relatively new, but made obsolete due to them not making a dedicated driver available in XP. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I have'nt owned another DMM product since....and I won't ever.

PS: The 9.6 hotfix drivers got the card working...two years late, but better than not I suppose. Thanks Abit667
