diamond 7970 isnt picking up 2 different mini DP adapters?

i bought a active DVI to mini DP adapter for eyefinity. before i was able to run 2 monitors using 1 active DP to dvi adapter, but when i tried to hook up the 3rd using another active DVI adapter now neither mini dp port wants to reconize? wtf? ive tried to power drain my PC, check amd settings, ect ect. nothing is working. When i use a DVI to HDMI adapter it comes up with no issue. What gives?
 
Can you link which active adapters you bought?

I had the issue trying to run 3 screens on my 6950s before. I could make 2 work in any configuration, but 3 was a pain. I bought 2 or 3 different active adapters that wasn't really "active". They were all labeled as active adapters, but were not, everytime I'd hook the third screen up, it wouldn't get a signal. I ended up having a buy an active adapter that had a usb plug for power, then everything was good.

My guess is your adapter may not be an active one, or it's not working.

Montiors don't have to be identical make/model, least mine were not all the same. Just has to be same resolution I think.
 
i bought the sapphire one, Ive boughten plenty of them before, but i got it figured out!. i think its alittle loose in my GPU so its a card issue, I have it leaning a certain way and it works fine. Thanks!
