I've got a model Q24W5 LCD display at work. For the most part, it's a nice display - good selections of inputs, nice picture as far as I can tell, no dead pixels, and so forth... but it has one issue that drives me crazy, and I'm wondering if this is a "known-bug" type thing or if this particular one is broken. When the monitor displays patches of dark gray or red (for example, the background color of posts) I see a diagonal pattern of lighter and darker lines. The lines run from lower left to upper right, and appear to move quickly from left to right. The room is lit by fluorescent lights, if it matters, and the monitor is connected via VGA to a Matrox Millennium G400 DualHead Max.

Is this a common issue? If I buy an LCD for my personal use, I want to be sure it doesn't have this problem. Are certain panels more likely to do this?
