I was looking at the CasEdge Diabolic cases, apparently it only has a rear fan. I am wondering if anyone has one of these case styles and could tell me how well the case keeps cool as-is. I tend to leave my comp powered up most of the time, and run many programs.
How good is the airflow setup? Will that stock-case fan be enough in there?

I'm thinking about getting the diabolic case too...but if you'd like to buy me another one, I'm all for it. What do you have against the case? Every review has given it a 9/10 or better.

Well, I'm not exactly a fan of this case, but my friend is Sweden demands that he absolutely must have it, and I owe him a favour
Anyone know of a company that will ship this case to Sweden for a not too outrages price?

Ive seen the case in person. The front shape is just cheap nasty plastic. I wouldn't go so far as to buy another case for either of you in its place, but I wouldn't suggest it. To each his own though.

I really don't want it, but my friend it nuts over it and demands I find a company that ships to Sweden

mwave ships overseas don't they? I know they ship to canada at least...that's where I plan on ordering from, $119. It's a nice tool-less case with a side vent which is perfect for me. I like the look of it, and I haven't seen a bad review yet. I thought the front bevel might be flimsy or break easily, but from what I've read it seems sturdy enough; I don't plan on throwing my case or dropping it to test durability however. The one problem I saw with it was that it had no front intake fan, though with the rear 120mm exhaust fan I think it should be alright.

I found that most people that hate this case haven't seen it but every review of it is good. Then again I find few bad reviews of anything these days so I take them with a grain of salt. Maybe its because most review sites get stuff for free. Free stuff is always cooler.

my personal opinion is that it's the tackiest thing I've ever seen.

Whatever reviews your reading are liez. First of all, this case is HIDIOUS and should never been talked about on [H]!!!! (what a world), 2nd.. everything is 2nd rate on it, the front bezel is cheap as hell, cheap plastic lines the entire case, its the biggest Alienware ripoff of all time, and it smells like poop! YES POOP! I know a true [H] would have better taste then poop ... eh ?

I agree that it's hideous and should not be mentioned on a modding forum. But I would refrain from flaming people over buying it. Just a thought. Umm, I wouldn't worry about even getting this case though. It looks cheap and ugly and if you attend a lanparty more people will probably make fun of you than compliment you on it. But if you like it, buy it.

Ohh well then I'm going to get one. I need more people to pay attention to me at lan partys :)

wasnt intending to flame, just jokin around... but in my opinion buying one is kinda like buying spinner hubcaps hehe. But it is a free county and people can spend their money as they please...

have fun.

Personally I think it looks better than about 90% of the mods I've seen, and the reviews say the actual case functions great. It's not very costly at $119, and has more space than my current case. The side vent is a nice addition and I love the tool-less design. Most mods I've seen, be them custom or storebought, look terrible.

This one has a fun unique feel that nearly everyone outside a modding community has said looks awesome. I'm not a lan-partier, and most of the people who would see it are those you would think of as the football players or jocks from college days. Most of whom have said it's one of the coolest things they've seen for a computer, heh.

Umm... You're kidding, right? "Most mods... look terrible"? That is the most incorrect statement I have ever heard on a modding community. If you think that mods look terrible, than WHY ARE YOU HERE??? Personally, it's ugly, overdone, and I don't even like the idea. 2 inches of bondo might help it though :p

Oh, and should I remind you of some of our "terrible" mods?
Mashie - Y2K bug (I feel for ya man... But since the packaging was damaged, you can get AA to pay for it!)

Corrugated - Heavy Metal
Ferox - Radiosphere
Zapwizard - The BEST ammo can PC ever

Need I go on? OK!!

User Name - Best wire management in a case ever, and has chenming looks better than the minotaur

Imo, a stock antec looks better than that "thing." The chenbro gaming bomb looks better than it. Most premods look better than it. And most mods look better than most premods.

Can't find pics of it. :p

Regardless, I'd never spend $120 for a case. Premods generally are half-arsed. Not saying they suck, but I would never buy one.

So people here that like the Diabilic seem to want a pre-mod case that looks good. If you hate this case so much, what are some better alternatives and why?

I am a newbie to this whole case mod thing, but am looking to build a new comp and would like to have a case that I can use for years to come, who knows I may even mod it in time. Anybody got a suggestion for cases? Diabolic is one, but I am not so into cheap plastic.

If you think I should not have posted this hear cause there is a better place to look for this info, then... flame away.

Welcome to the board. :)

It's usually advisable to start your own thread for seperate questions, but meh. :p

I bought a $22 case on Newegg.com (I checked a day ago, they are now $29) and I love it. Here, let me dig up das link. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-132-001&catalog=7&depa=1

I have one of those, it's a great case. Too bad the price went up. :( It has a fan in the door already, but that's not a big deal. You could remove it and install a window, or something similar. Mine is bone stock, but I think I might bust out the old Thakita drill and cutoff wheel and have a go at her. ;)

You posted about what, 5 names of people with good case mods? Ok, no problem, I saw one site linked with some pretty phatty mods, it had about 5 of them...then I saw a thread with about 35 'terrible' mods. By terrible I'm talking, why bother even modding it when you can buy a case with the same features for far less work and probably less cost. It's personal preference really; I think the diabolic case looks awesome, and has a custom design that makes it stand out from most of the square boxes with as many fans as people can cram into them; which is what most of the more recent mods I've seen remind me of. You know most of those mods I say suck? Ya, they're ones that're usually done by people new to modding or with limited tools and parts. Hi, that's me. I don't have any fancy tools to make cool looking stuff that would make my case stand out and look cool.

I found the link I was thinking of: http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/case_gallery.php
His cases are awesome, and ya, I'd take one of those over the diabolic case, but I have no idea how to make something like that myself.

Look, the reason we mod is because we feel that it allows us to customize our case. You get the minotaur, and maybe it'll look cool to you and some other people, but you have the same case as 1000 people now! Where's the uniqueness? Personally, I think you'd be better off reading some tutorials. Gotta jigsaw? A dremel? $35 for dremel, $25 for jigsaw. There, now go cut a custom window. If you say you don't have the skillz to do it, and then never try it because of that, then you never will have the skillz to do it. I still hold to that 2 inch layer of bondo over the front, and then carve your own bezel. That would save the diabolical's appearence in my eyes.

Depending on how much you want to spend. I like to mod my cases, but this time around I didn't want to start from scratch (i work too much). So I went with the Aspire X Superalien. Its one of the best pre-mods around and has SO many case features that some Lian-Li dont' even offer.. here check it out..

Yes, personally, if you want a premod, I would get the x-superalien. Diabolic == too flashy. Superalien == Just right, with nice features, a good psu, and nice price to boot!
