Edit: My source was reddit. Specifically this thread: http://www.reddit.com/r/diablo3/comments/k25g3/beta_bitches/ . If you read the thread you will notice he was once a blizzard employee. Since he was a employee he may not be part of round 1 emails so there may still be hope for us.

Alot of the blizzard CS peons got their access on Tuesday/Wednesday-ish 2 of my friends who are GMs have already beat the beta about 10times lol.

I'm praying they care enough about enthusiast builds they'll chose me to insure it works with Crossfire.

Awesome. It's getting so close I can almost taste it. I'm really starting to get excited. I haven't put as much time into any game as I have put into D2. Everyone with a computer and the internet was playing it when I was in middle school. It was great fun to jump online and vanquish evil with all of my friends from school.

The beta is only in friends and family stage, the public beta has not started yet. Not going to drag up the source, but it's on the d3 forums somewhere.
 
My heart skipped a beat when I saw the thread title, updated both pc's beta opt in's on separate accounts.
Guess I'll go change my shorts now....
