DGL 4300 router drops internet every couple days

I've got a D-Link DGL-4300 and lately it's been dropping the internet/network connection every few days, I have to reset the router and then it's fine again.

It happened after comcast doubled it's speed and went to the DOCSIS 3.0. I don't know WHY it's doing it.

I'm out of ideas now, I've upgraded the firmware to the latest, nothing. I've turned off all the extra features (gamefuel traffic shaping, firewall), that did nothing.

What the hell is causing it to crap out? It's like it can't take the speed or something. I did a proper power cycle and everything to get the new speed but it continues. Any ideas or anything for me to try would be appreciated. Thanks :)
 
Have you checked the logs? See if the WAN-side is dropping (which would imply cable modem problems).
 
Here's the log for about 5 mins: I don't know what that means. Tons of packet loss?

I should mention I'm seeding 4 torrents but they aren't active atm.

I've been on the D Link forum and there's a few topics with my exact problem. They all point to the router taking a dump, which sucks because I've only had it since 8/20/2007.
 
It looks like your router is blocking UDP packets coming in. I did a ARIN whois and those are coming from all over the place - but I presume it's b/c of your seeding.

Regardless, it's not complaining of anything WAN-related, so I think it's safe to say that it's related to your torrenting.

Well I shut down utorrent and we'll see what happens.
 
Just got back from work and got on the computer, used the net for a min and then it dropped it again. utorrent was off since 1 o'clock today so something else is going on here.

I checked the log and since I was gone I kept getting those "blocked incoming UDP packet" deals from various IP addresses.

I don't know what to do next, I just power cycled the router so the internet's back again.

Could it be dying?
