these are 2 new intel mobos.
my question is why does the internet intel site reports the dg33tl as the only intel mobo that support the new e6850 and the dp35dp doesn't. is it simple outdated information?
 
It could be very possible that the DP35DP does not support 1333Mhz FSB (IE the 6850 chip)

I'm running an Asus P5LD2-VM (945 chipset) in where the manual states it will run 1066Mhz FSB. But when I go to download the bios, its got a special note that only 2.0G hardware revision motherboards will run at that speed. I have a revision 1.02 motherboard, so I am SOL so to speak.

All motherboards made around the 965 chipset are not qualified to run at 1333FSB, some 975 are. There are also some G33 and P35 chipsets that are not qualified to run at 1333FSB based on the mobo components they are paired with. The upcoming X38 (probably October) should always support 1333FSB, along with optional support for the next step up 1600Mhz FSB.
 
I have a intel DP35DP + E6850. Runs fine at 1333bus. I think they havent gotten around to updating their site fully being that the E6850 was just officially released for sale last monday.
