DFS Issues

Hi [H]

I am having an issue with a DFS server saying its staging area is not large enough.

I know that the Largest file is 19GB and so the staging area was changed to 40GB

Yet the error still shows in the error reports and it still saying the staging area is on 4GB!

Here is a list of the DFS shares on this box. The central DFS server in the DC has many many more DFS connections

Wait for it to replicate. The change is stored in AD. It needs time to 1) replicate to all DCs and 2) for the DFSR service to update its config. After, you should see staging set consistently for that replicated folder across all servers in the RG.

Also, you'll want the staging size to be at least the size of the 32 largest files in the replicated folder. 2008 R2, out of the box, runs 16 inbound and 16 outbound threads for repl. Check this post out on AskDS:
